Hello PGS Families!
Would you like to make a one time donation to help fund and support PGS programs and opportunities?
Donations are greatly appreciated and welcome in any amount!
PGS families are very generous to support the PGS community whether through time, monetary contributions, participation, and more! Due to Covid, the PTO did not actively fundraise via traditional means last year. We hope to make this school year - the PGS 30th anniversary - a big year!
All donations help fund important programs such as:
In class field trips and enrichment opportunities: These programs include outside providers like Hartford Stage Co, Roaring Brook Nature Center, CT Science Center, and others coming directly to PGS classrooms to provide educational programming to compliment and enrichment the PGS curriculum. Benefits ALL grades K - 4.
School Improvements: recent improvements have included a large scale Makerspace defined classroom within the PGS library for STEAM teaching and programming, a new PGS sign at the Scoville entrance, new perennials and plants for PGS school grounds, Ben's Bells Kindness mural, and more!
Special projects and/or equipment: examples include a new laminator (2020) and new speakers (2021) for PGS staff use and PTO use as well.
Teacher/Classroom stipends: helps support stipends for classroom teachers to put towards their out of pocket materials and expenses.
And Much More!
Donations are accepted either:
Online through Konstella (preferred payment option please) - submit through the online option and receive a receipt for your donation. Thank you!
Check made payable to PGS PTO sent to the PGS main office in an enveloped marked PGS PTO One and Done. Please include in the envelope a note with your student's name and teacher so that a receipt can be sent back to you.
THANK YOU PGS families for your generosity and support!
The PGS community ROCKS for 30 years and counting!
Thank you to the families who were able to come in person and those who participated via zoom! Special thanks to the zoom families for your understanding of technical/broadcast issues - those will be much improved next time! Mrs. Borio and Mrs. Buckle presented an overview of PGS facts, explained the Open Choice program, and the PTO presented the budget, hopeful plans for the fall, and more! The presentation slides and minutes of the meeting are below.
Save the date for the next PTO meeting: November 30, 2021!
