Pine Grove School is simply the best elementary school around. I started at PGS as a third grade teacher and worked for 10 years in grades 3 and 4. I was so fortunate to have amazing students who loved to learn and kept me smiling and laughing every day. Then, in 2011 my good luck continued when I became the assistant principal of PGS. Two years later I was appointed principal when Mrs. Dahling-Hench left to become an assistant superintendent. I loved being a principal at PGS. Visiting classrooms, planning new programs, and leading the school through so many changes was something I truly loved to do. I was sad to leave in 2021, but I will always remember my time and the amazing community at Pine Grove School.

Some of my favorite memories of PGS come from our summer reading celebrations. We had some epic dance parties and of course a few trips into the dunk tank! We could always find time to celebrate the hard work of our students. I also have some fond memories of decorating the school library with Mrs. Borio for the Haunted Halloween Story Time. I wonder if anyone knew it was really Mr. G dressed up like that old custodian?

As Pine Grove School Celebrates its 30th birthday, I want to thank all the students and staff who made my time there amazing! I’ll never forget how; Together we Shared, Discovered, Created, and Achieved! Congratulations PGS on 30 years of success! Say hello to Piney for me! - Mr. G
